Levente Polyak zveřejnil na webu Arch Linuxu informaci o tom, že Arch Linux vstupuje do přímé spolupráce s Valve. Valve velkoryse podporuje dva klíčové projekty, které budou mít obrovský dopad na naši distribuci: infrastrukturu pro build službu a zabezpečenou podepisovací enklávu. Díky podpoře těchto projektů formou freelance práce nám Valve umožňuje se na nich soustředit, aniž by nás omezoval nedostatek volného času našich dobrovolníků.
Tato příležitost nám umožňuje řešit některé z největších výzev, kterým jsme čelili již delší dobu. Spolupráce urychlí pokrok, který by jinak trval mnohem déle, a konečně nám umožní pokračovat v některých plánovaných projektech. Jsme nesmírně vděční společnosti Valve za tuto příležitost a za jejich výslovný závazek pomoci a podpořit Arch Linux.

Arch Linux oznámil vydání prvního ISO obrazu pro rok 2024, který je poháněn jádrem Linux 6.10. Tato aktualizace přináší vylepšenou podporu pro nejnovější hardware a opravy chyb v instalační aplikaci archinstall. Nové ISO obsahuje verzi archinstall 2.5.2, která opravuje chyby u NVMe disků a locale nastavení. Pro nové instalace nebo reinstalace doporučujeme stáhnout tuto verzi ISO. Stávající uživatelé mohou své systémy aktualizovat příkazem.
